AI video generation
Turn a repeatable task into a skill
Use reusable instructions to make video workflows easier to repeat and review.
Request consultingKnow what the skill contributes
A skill can hold instructions, reference material and, in some environments, scripts for a recurring task. For video work, that task might be preparing a shot brief, reviewing a prompt or organizing model-selection criteria. The exact packaging and behavior depend on the host.
A skill is not itself a video model. It helps an assistant follow a process; generating or editing media still requires the relevant tools and access.
Where to begin looking
The imported Shotcraft material includes a skill called Video model match. Its source package is a candidate for the resource library, with a capability matrix dated in the source. That historical matrix needs a fresh review before it can support current model recommendations.
For other skills, start with the official documentation and maintained repositories of the host you plan to use. Check the actual instructions, required tools and update history. A directory listing can help discovery, but does not demonstrate that a skill works in your environment.
Adapt the process to the project
Give a useful skill clear inputs and a reviewable output. A shot-planning skill could accept a brief and return a list of shots with unresolved decisions. Keep the creative brief separate from the reusable procedure so changing projects does not require rewriting the whole skill.
Try it on a small task you can judge. Look for omitted requirements, invented facts and unexpected tool use. Keep the version that was used with the project notes. The resource library will identify host compatibility and source links after each candidate is checked.
